Camels Hump at Sunset
Camels Hump is instantly recognizable to Vermonters as its distinctive profile can be seen from so many different parts of Vermont — from Charlotte and South Hero to Stowe and Barre. At 4,083 feet, Camels Hump is Vermont’s third highest mountain, and it’s the only one of Vermont’s tallest peaks to remain untouched by development. It's a prime spot for hiking since the open summit offers views of not only the Green Mountains but also the Adirondacks of New York and the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
