Milky Way & Labryinth on the Solstice

This was a magical sight on the solstice with my labyrinth below and the Milky Way above. I am drawn to labyrinths and seek them out wherever I travel and finally decided to add one to my garden. This image celebrates its completion.

Looking up at a dark night sky full of stars is one of life’s great pleasures and something I get to experience often where I live in Vermont. It was so peaceful with owls hooting nearby and frog sounds by the pond.

It is truly humbling to gaze at the galaxy and ponder the immensity of it.

I used a long-exposure for the Milky Way and a small flashlight to do light-painting on the labyrinth in the foreground.
