Texas Falls
Middlebury Gap, Vermont
I have often wondered why this Vermont waterfall was given the name “Texas Falls”. It is quite dramatic as it plunges through a narrow rock flume into a deep pool. The falls were formed when the last glaciers retreated from the Green Mountains 12,000 years ago, carving out potholes and gorges.
